Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason, who played for the team from 2005-2010, believes the Ravens' upgraded receiving corps could make quarterback Joe Flacco and the Baltimore offense more dangerous than ever.
In the past, Flacco could rely on veterans such as receivers Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith Sr. and Mason and tight ends Todd Heap and Dennis Pitta. That helped Flacco lead his team to the postseason, and eventually the Super Bowl, early in his career.
"When Joe has had guys that he could depend on, guys that could go out there and make plays, Joe was a damn good quarterback," Mason said on Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 27.
