Former NFL QB Tommy Maddox Talks Ravens-Steelers Rivalry

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Tommy Maddox stills feels a sensation running up his arm whenever he throws a ball because of an injury he suffered during a rivalry game against the Baltimore Ravens.

In 2004, late in his playing career, a hit from Ravens cornerback Gary Baxter prevented his arm from moving with his body in what Maddox called "a freak play."

"Everything went forward except for my arms," Maddox said on Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 27. "I wasn't in excruciating pain. It felt like you woke up in the morning and your arm was asleep. I just couldn't control it."
