After examining four hitters who surprised this year, our season in review continues as we take a look at the hitters who disappointed this year. I'm basing this on their average draft position and not fulfilling the expectations many had heading into the season.
Hitters Who Disappointed:
1. Minnesota Twins Center Fielder Byron Buxton - Fantasy owners have been waiting for the former top prospect to become a star, but it has yet to materialize. Even though Buxton has never become a star, fantasy owners continue to overdraft him; he was taken late in the sixth round and early in the seventh round in March. Unfortunately, Buxton was so bad he was demoted at the end of April and again for good at the end of May. The outfielder didn't hit a home run this season, and we'll again wonder if 2019 will be the year the talented youngster puts it all together.
