10/4/18

John “Johnny O” Olszewski Jr. today announced the endorsement of Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot in his campaign for Baltimore County Executive.

“Having worked with Johnny in Annapolis, I'm confident that he will continue to reach across the aisle to get things done for Baltimore County’s families,” said Comptroller Peter Franchot. “I’m pleased to support Johnny's campaign to build a better Baltimore County and look forward to working with him on our shared priorities."

Today’s endorsement is the latest from Olszewski who has continued to build momentum following a historic primary victory, having racked up support from prominent elected officials, activist clubs, and over 50 labor unions while directly contacting more than 350,000 voters across the county from Rocky Point to Randallstown.

“I’m so grateful for Comptroller Franchot’s support in our campaign for a better Baltimore County,” Olszewski said. “He’s a leader who always puts people above politics to get things done for Marylanders. That’s the kind of leadership I’ll bring to the role of Baltimore County Executive.”

Olszewski, who served nine years in the Maryland General Assembly representing his hometown in District 6, resides in Dundalk with his wife Marisa and 2-year old daughter Daria. He began his professional career teaching at Patapsco High School.
