Five Takeaways From The Terps' 42-21 Loss To Michigan

The Maryland football team picked up its second loss of the season falling at Michigan, 42-21, Oct. 6 as the home defense stifled the Terps’ offense for the majority of the game. The Wolverines' offense, led by running back Karan Higdon and quarterback Shea Patterson, were never impeded by the Terps.

Here are five takeaways from the game:

1. Special teams

The Terps, and specifically senior running back Ty Johnson, had some great moments on special teams but also had some notable issues. Johnson got the Terps’ first score of the day on a 98-yard kickoff return down the left sideline to take an early 7-3 lead.
