Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to welcome Matthew Zapadka to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Matthew D. Zapadka (Associate, Washington, D.C.) counsels clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property assets, with a focus on patent litigation. In this role, he advises on various intellectual property disputes in federal district court and state court, as well as trials at the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), along with filing and arguing appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Zapadka was an associate at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. and Squire Patton Boggs, LLP. Zapadka earned a law degree from George Washington University Law School (2014) and received a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University (2006).
