Towson head football coach Rob Ambrose thinks the "chip" on quarterback Tom Flacco's shoulder has revitalized the Tigers, who have started the 2018 season with a 4-1 mark.
The younger brother of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, Tom Flacco started his college career at Western Michigan and played in several games as a backup quarterback during his freshman and sophomore seasons. Flacco then transferred to Rutgers for the 2017 season as a walk-on. Due to NCAA transfer regulations, he was not allowed to play.
After earning his degree from Rutgers, Flacco then decided to go to Towson as a graduate transfer. He had two years of eligibility remaining and the hope of having found a place to show his potential.
