Lake Como, the third largest lake in Italy, is known for its deep blue color, the beautiful villas lining the shore and the majestic mountains that frame the scenery.
As part of a 10-day trip to Italy in August, the Maryland men's basketball team took a boat ride across Lake Como. Terps freshman forward Jalen Smith, who had never traveled outside the United States before, found the trip across the lake breathtaking.
"It was just so big and we rode by, I think, George Clooney's house and it was big and awesome," Smith said, still shaking his head in amazement.
