The Maryland football team trampled Illinois 63-33 for the team’s highest-scoring game since entering the Big Ten four years ago. The Terps racked up 712 total yards, the most Illinois had given up in 13 years, and posted the most points the program has scored against an FBS opponent since 1954.

All of that comes after the team was shutout with only 115 yards of offense against Iowa last week.

“It feels good, I am really happy for our players,” interim coach Matt Canada said. “They deserve to have a night where things work. They deserved to get into a rhythm.”
