Although he's been in the United States only a short time, Mount St. Mary's men's soccer standout Bilal Hassane already has made quite an impression.
Hassane came to America in time for the 2015 college soccer season intent on furthering his education, pursuing his dream of playing professional soccer and being near his sister and her family. Hailing from Niamey, Niger, Hassane helped take one local college soccer program to new heights and has since become a building block and leader for another.
Hassane could take another step toward that professional career by helping his home country's national team qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament that features 24 national teams competing for the championship of Africa every two years.
