Five Takeaways From Navy's 42-0 Loss To Cincinnati

Navy dropped its sixth straight game with a 42-0 loss to Cincinnati, a team that had been ranked in the Top 25 earlier this season. It’s the Midshipmen’s longest losing streak since 2002. Navy was shut out for the first time since Sept. 29, 2012 in a 12-0 setback to San Jose State.

The loss also means Navy will not be eligible for a bowl for the first time since 2011, when it finished 5-7.

“It’s my job to get them motivated. We have to continue to keep fighting as a program,” coach Ken Niumatalolo said. “We’re not going to quit, but we’ve got to find something to get going.”
