Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts believes Joe Flacco remains the best option at quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens' struggling offense and that the occasional presence of backup Lamar Jackson on the field may be contributing to Flacco's recent struggles.
After taking Jackson in the first round of this year's NFL Draft, questions surrounding Flacco's future in Baltimore began to surface, especially about what the team would do if the former Super Bowl MVP did not have a season worthy of his hefty contract.
While Flacco did start the season strong, his numbers have dropped off drastically since losing to Cleveland Oct. 7. His passer rating was 96.9 through the first four games of season and 73.7 during the past five. The Ravens are on a three-game losing streak and have a 4-5 record at the bye.
