Terps' Kasim Hill Out For The Year With ACL Tear

Maryland redshirt freshman quarterback Kasim Hill tore the ACL in his left knee during the Terps' 34-32 loss to Indiana Nov. 10, interim head coach Matt Canada told reporters Nov. 13.

Redshirt sophomore Tyrrell Pigrome, who relieved Hill after he left the Indiana game, will start at quarterback against Ohio State Nov. 17.

It's the second consecutive year Hill's season has been cut short due to an ACL tear. Hill tore the ACL in his right knee during a loss to UCF last September, which undercut a once-promising season for the player and team. Hill helped the Terps to a 2-0 start and completed 18 of 21 passes during his brief time on the field as a true freshman.
