During the Maryland men's basketball team's comfortable 92-77 win against Mount St. Mary's Nov. 18, Maryland sophomore center Bruno Fernando led the Terps' dominant performance, enjoying a career game on both ends of the floor.
Tying his career scoring high of 21 points, Fernando was one of five Terps who scored in double figures and finished an efficient 10-of-12 from the floor. The performance came just days after Fernando finished a perfect 8-for-8 from the field during Terps' game against Hofstra Nov. 17.
Head coach Mark Turgeon attributed the sophomore's boost in efficiency this season to his ability to slow down the game. Fernando is averaging 15.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game so far this season.
