After a 1-1 week, the University of Maryland men's basketball team climbed to No. 23 in the AP poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll, released Dec. 3.
Gonzaga (8-0) retains the top spot in both polls, followed by Kansas (6-0), Duke (7-1), Virginia (7-0) and Michigan (8-0).
Maryland is now 7-1 on the season, with a 1-0 record in Big Ten play. During the past week, the Terps lost to Virginia, 76-71, at home Nov. 28 and defeated Penn State, 66-59, Dec. 1.
