PressBox and the Masonic Charities of Maryland have teamed up to honor one high school student-athlete each month who demonstrates sportsmanship, school spirit, hard work and dedication with the Unsung Hero of the Month award.
The latest honoree is Baltimore Polytechnic Institute's Mervyn Thomas-Crawford.

Thomas-Crawford, a senior, was nominated by Poly wrestling coach Wavie Gibson, who praised him for "[taking] the time to up lift his fellow teammates who are not meeting with success academically or athletically."
