Former Maryland linebacker Tre Watson has a chip on his shoulder ahead of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Watson posted 114 tackles, three sacks and five interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, for the Terps in 2018. Though the media voted him first-team All-Big Ten, the conference's coaches voted him second-team All-Big Ten rather than first.
And though he played in the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., Jan. 19, Watson wasn't invited to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., nor has he received an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis Feb. 26-March 4 to this point.
