Maryland head coach Michael Locksley has finalized his coaching staff and their roles heading into the 2019 season.
In addition to the six hires announced in January, Locksley has added Jon Hoke as defensive coordinator/safeties coach, Joker Phillips as co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach, Delbert Cowsette as defensive line coach and Brian Williams as outside linebackers coach.
Locksley also announced that special teams coordinator John Papuchis will coach inside linebackers and defensive passing game coordinator Cory Robinson will serve as cornerbacks coach.
Hoke comes to College Park with countless years of professional and collegiate coaching experience, spending 16 years on defensive staffs in the NFL and 21 years in college football. For the past three years, Hoke served as the defensive backs coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he oversaw the secondary.
