Following Maryland's early exit as the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten tournament, freshman guard Eric Ayala admitted the Terps may have overlooked No. 13 seed Nebraska somewhat.
"We kind of did that a little bit with Nebraska knowing that they were down a couple guys and that came back to bite us," Ayala said.
The Cornhuskers dressed just six healthy scholarship players and had played less than 24 hours earlier. Maryland lost, 69-61, which marked its third consecutive season without a Big Ten tournament victory.
