Jimmy Patsos: Jalen Smith Could Turn Heads At NBA Draft Combine

Jalen Smith was one of the most highly touted freshmen to set foot on the University of Maryland campus when he came to College Park, Md., in 2018 as a consensus five-star recruit. Now, Terps fans will wait to see if he'll be back for next season.

Just one Terp in the recruiting rankings era was rated higher than Smith coming out of high school: Diamond Stone was ESPN's No. 6 overall recruit in 2015 and the last one-and-done to play for Maryland. Smith was the No. 10 overall recruit this past season.

Jimmy Patsos, a former Maryland assistant coach under Gary Williams, believes Smith's path to the NBA could resemble that of former Terp Kevin Huerter.
