Len Elmore: Mark Turgeon Is Good For Maryland, But That's Not Enough

The Maryland men's basketball team had another early exit in this year's NCAA Tournament, losing to LSU in the second round. It marked the seventh time in Mark Turgeon's eight seasons as head coach that the Terps did not advance to the second weekend of the tournament.

While Turgeon has put together an impressive regular-season resume, winning 23 or more games on five occasions, it's his struggles in March that have seemingly defined his time in College Park, Md.

Len Elmore, considered one of the best players in program history, believes Turgeon has been a good fit at the university for the past eight years but acknowledges coaches need to win in March.
