After seven rounds and 254 selections, the NFL Draft came to a close April 27 and Maryland football had its most successful draft in more than a decade. Four former Terps were drafted -- the most since five were selected in 2009. A fifth signed as an unrestricted free agent soon after.
Here is a quick breakdown of each player:
Darnell Savage Jr., Defensive Back
Round 1, Pick 21
Green Bay Packers
This was the second straight year a Terp was selected in the first round. Wide receiver DJ Moore, Savage's best friend, was selected 24th by the Carolina Panthers last year.
