Fantasy Baseball Risers, Fallers: May 6, 2019

Here are three risers and fallers recently on the fantasy baseball scene.

Three Up:

1. Houston Astros Third Baseman Alex Bregman -- It was a big week in the home run department for the third baseman, as Bregman hit five of them. Bregman also chipped in with 10 RBIs and a .280 batting average. I'm a big fan of Bregman and think he has an MVP-type season in him at some point in his career. It's great to see his May start off strong, and he will continue to be a consistent fantasy performer.

2. Minnesota Twins Starting Pitcher Jake Odorizzi -- Other than back-to-back starts in early April in which the right-hander allowed a total of seven earned runs, Odorizzi has been a steady performer for fantasy owners. The veteran has allowed just three earned runs during his last four starts while striking out 23. In this state of fantasy that has starting pitchers getting injured and others not living up to their draft day status, it's comforting knowing a later-round selection in Odorizzi is pitching well.
