QB Josh Jackson, TE Tyler Mabry Join Maryland Football Program

University of Maryland football coach Michael Locksley has announced that quarterback Josh Jackson and tight end Tyler Mabry have joined the Terrapin football program.

Jackson transfers in from Virginia Tech with two years of eligibility remaining, while Mabry comes from the University of Buffalo and has one year of eligibility remaining. With both having earned their undergraduate degrees, they'll each be eligible to play immediately.

Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound quarterback, started all 13 games for the Hokies in 2017. He threw for 2,991 yards and 20 touchdowns, while rushing for 324 yards and six touchdowns during his redshirt freshman season. He led all Power Five freshmen QBs in passing yards and completions (236), while ranking second in touchdown passes.
