Maryland guard Anthony Cowan announced he would return to the Terps for his senior season May 29, a move those who follow the team closely saw as all but certain after he elected to enter the NBA Draft process last month.

When Cowan and center Bruno Fernando declared for the NBA Draft April 15, it was seen as a formality that Cowan would eventually withdraw his name and return for his senior season. Meanwhile, Fernando, who flirted with jumping to the NBA last season, was almost assuredly going to forgo his eligibility for a chance to be picked in the first round next month.
