Orioles infield prospect Cadyn Grenier, the 37th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, is tied closely to this year's No. 1 pick, catcher Adley Rutschman, as both played an integral role in Oregon State's 2018 College World Series championship.
Grenier is excited his former college teammate was drafted by the Orioles and said that everyone from fans to teammates has been buzzing about Rutschman all season long as speculation grew that the Orioles would take him.
"It's literally everyone," Grenier said on Glenn Clark Radio June 6. "I'll go and sign autographs and people are like, 'Are we drafting your boy?' and I'm like I don't know I hope so. I get in the locker room and they're like, 'Are we drafting Adley?' and then we get on the bus and they're like, 'What do you think about Adley?'"
