Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Targets: June 21, 2019

The shortstop position took a major hit this past week with Trevor Story (Colorado Rockies) and Adalberto Mondesi (Kansas City Royals) landing on the injured list. Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa remains out, so the position is thinning. We have officially reached the time of the season when injuries can begin to take a toll. As always, we just need to continue to grind through this and find ways to weather the storm.

Waiver-Wire Targets:

Colorado Rockies Infielder Brendan Rodgers -- Rodgers was recommended earlier this season when a wave of prospects were promoted. Unfortunately, he didn’t perform and went back to Triple-A. Story landing on the injured list now clears a path for Rodgers to play on an everyday basis. The talent is there -- he was hitting .350 with nine home runs in the minors -- and we know we love targeting offensive players on the Rockies. Rodgers will be the top priority in leagues this week, so you may have to spend a big chunk of your free agency acquisition budget to get him.
