Here are this week's MLB power rankings:

1. Houston Astros (102-54, No. 1 last week): Luckily, the Astros have right-handers Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole and Zack Grienke before they get to lefty Wade Miley. Miley had a solid performance against the Royals Sept. 15, pitching six innings and allowing just two earned runs. But in his other three September starts, he has allowed 16 earned runs in 1.1 innings. Yikes.

2. New York Yankees (102-55, No. 2): The Yankees lost 17-game winner Domingo German because of a domestic abuse incident, but lefty James Paxton and righty Luis Severino -- yes, that same Luis Severino -- are giving them hope for a magical postseason run.
