Coming off a dominating win against East Carolina, Navy junior quarterback Malcolm Perry could not hold back his excitement when discussing strides he's made as a passer for the Midshipmen.
In a 42-10 victory against the Pirates Sept. 14, Perry showed off his ability as a dual-threat quarterback. Throwing for 151 yards and rushing for an additional 156, Perry accounted for six of Navy's seven touchdowns.
Such a big performance did not go unnoticed, either. He was named American Athletic Conference's co-Offensive Player of the Week. Though that's encouraging, Perry believes the trust from the coaching staff is what's really helped him become better as a quarterback.
