The sun hadn't even begun to creep over the Maryland horizon and pull back the pitch-black blanket that enveloped the night sky when Ian McBorrough rose from his bed and headed out to his car.
While many college kids were in their early 20s were in their beds sleeping, McBorrough was spending his summer mornings making trips to Morgan State's campus for the football team's offseason workouts.
"He's a half-hour away from campus, but he still drives every morning," Bears defensive coordinator Antonio James said. "He's there at 6 a.m., regardless of if he's in school or not."
