Bradley Bozeman: 'It's Scary Every Time The Cart Comes Out There'

Midway through the third quarter of the Ravens-Steelers game in Pittsburgh Oct. 6, Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph escaped the pocket and threw a strike to receiver James Washington.

But as Rudolph released the ball, he took a big hit from cornerback Brandon Carr in the back and a near-simultaneous hit by safety Earl Thomas from the front, causing Rudolph to be knocked unconscious. Seeing an athlete take a brutal hit to the head is difficult to watch for any spectator, and for someone on the same field like Ravens left guard Bradley Bozeman, the feeling is mutual.

"It's scary every time the cart comes out there," Bozeman said on Glenn Clark Radio on Oct.7. "It's never a good thing, that's one of the realities of the job we have, you go out there and kind of put your body on the line."

Even though Thomas' hit on Rudolph was an extremely scary sight, players need to have a short memory when something like that happens and keep playing hard, according to Bozeman.
