Maryland Women's Basketball Picked To Win The Big Ten

The Maryland women's basketball team was picked by both the Big Ten head coaches and the league's media panel to win the conference title this season. Senior Kaila Charles was voted Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year by both groups as well.

The Terrapins, who have won four of five Big Ten regular season titles since joining the league, were a unanimous pick by the 14 head coaches to win their fifth title. Michigan State, Indiana, Michigan and Purdue rounded out the top five predicted order of finish.

The league's media panel picked Maryland to win the conference as well, followed by Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana and Minnesota.
