Dentons Partner Jonathan Kaden Named Board President of Chicago Public-interest Law Center

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that Real Estate partner Jonathan Kaden has been named board president of Business and Professional People for the Public Interest (BPI), a prominent Chicago public-interest law center.

Kaden focuses his practice on community development finance and real estate and boasts a wide range of experience in tax advantaged investing, community development investing and lending, affordable housing and commercial real estate transactions. Previously vice president of BPI’s board of directors, he is co-chairing a search committee devoted to hiring BPI’s next executive director.

BPI has been a Chicago institution for 50 years addressing compelling issues of social justice and racial equity including justice reform and police accountability, affordable and public housing, racial and economic desegregation, education and early learning and political reform. In 2012, BPI was one of just 15 organizations worldwide that won a MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions.

Kaden earned his JD, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his AB, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
