DLA Piper announced today that Marius Domokos has joined the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology practice as a partner in Washington, DC.
Domokos has deep experience in the commerce and financial industries, including in the areas of payments, omnichannel commerce, digital coupons, digital offers, advertisement, data analytics and monetization, privacy, financial compliance, blockchain architecture and applications, and cryptocurrencies and tokenization. With a background in electrical engineering, he has a deep understanding of software, hardware, communication networks, artificial intelligence and neural networks, cloud architecture, data encryption and security, semiconductors, advanced computing, clean energy (including electric infrastructure, battery technologies and automotive applications), autonomous vehicles, electronic design automation (EDA), open source, signal processing, data compression and nanotechnology.

Domokos joins from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He previously served as general counsel for Shocking Technologies and Revel Systems, served as outside general counsel for a number of other companies and led various legal functions at Intel. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and his M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. He is not currently yet admitted to practice law in Washington, DC, but is licensed in California and admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
