Hugh Brown

The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is pleased to announce that Hugh H. Brown has joined the firm’s Roanoke office as an associate in the firm’s business and commercial law practice. Brown is the latest addition to the office, following the arrivals of real estate Partner Jean D. Mumm and Associate Max McCrary earlier this month.

Brown assists clients with the financing required to power their businesses, including credit facilities, syndicated and bilateral loans, accounts receivable monetization, and collateralized loan obligations. During law school, Brown served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William D. Broadhurst, Roanoke City Circuit Court, and as an intern for the Honorable Rebecca B. Connelly, Chief Judge, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia.

He earned his J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he served as managing online editor for the Washington & Lee Law Review. He earned his B.Sc., summa cum laude, in psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Brown joins the firm from the Charlotte office of Mayer Brown LLP.
