Local technology startup launches philanthropic initiative benefitting local home services company
Leap, a Columbia, Maryland-based home services software company, today announced the launch of a unique philanthropic initiative called Contractor Recovery. One local company selected from applicants from across the region will be selected for a complete business overhaul and “saved” through the program.
“Our team at Leap knows this industry inside and out. Our company is made up of experienced home services industry professionals and we know there are contracting companies out there that are barely able to make ends meet,” said Patrick Fingles, CEO of Leap. “These contractors work hard every day, but seem to keep falling behind and, frankly, are on the verge of going out of business. Today, we’re going to change that for one deserving company by launching this philanthropic program.”
Many contracting companies have seen their businesses face hard times due to the pandemic and volatile economy. Through Contractor Recovery, Leap will provide a free business overhaul to a contracting company from the Mid-Atlantic region, selected through an application process. Established home services companies such as electrical contractors, roofing companies, plumbers and home construction are encouraged to apply for the initiative.
Leap’s experienced team will conduct a complete audit of the contracting company’s business. With a completed review, Leap will provide a detailed plan to guide the selected business in implementing products and services that will help position them for growth.
In addition to providing their own software and expertise, Leap also has secured in-kind assistance from third party partners that will provide a wide range of free-of-charge services to the selected home services company. Depending on the winning company’s needs, Leap may provide a wide range of assistance, from free business software, new uniforms, website development, and one-on-one business strategy sessions with noted industry experts, to logo development and truck wrap.
Fingles and his team are uniquely qualified to provide this opportunity. He began his career in the home services industry more than 20 years ago, and has developed a proven business model that has yielded success for multiple companies. His experience, along with the business tools that Leap has developed, will provide a blueprint for one fortunate contractor through the Contractor Recovery initiative.
