Karolina Arias
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Federal Hall Policy Advisors, LLC, a leading bipartisan government relations firm for the corporate, financial and housing industries based in Washington, D.C., today announced that Karolina Arias has joined the firm as a Partner after recently serving as the Democratic Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs’ Subcommittee for Securities, Insurance, and Investment. She also served as the principal financial services policy advisor to U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD).
Ms. Arias brings nearly two decades of experience in capital markets, banking and housing policy. Prior to holding her most recent position on Capitol Hill, she was a Congressional Liaison for the U.S. Comptroller of the Currency. She also previously served as a Legislative Affairs Advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department. Ms. Arias began her career on Capitol Hill in the early 2000s as a Legislative Assistant focused on consumer lending and housing issues.
“We are excited to welcome Karolina to Fed Hall at this unique point in time,” said Cliff Roberti and Doug Nappi, Co-Founders of Fed Hall. “We’re continuing to build a premier bicameral, bipartisan government affairs consultancy that consistently offers our clients custom strategies and diverse perspectives. Karolina’s strong legislative and regulatory background will help us bring the very best advocacy solutions to Fed Hall’s clients moving forward. Her counsel will be more valuable than ever with the new administration settling in.”
"The recent change in control in Washington brings with it new challenges of congressional oversight and an added degree of regulatory complexity for Corporate America and Wall Street,” added Chris Matthiesen, Fed Hall partner and the firm’s lead Democrat. “Karolina’s experience in the Senate and in prior Democratic administrations will be tremendous assets to our clients.”
“I am thrilled to be joining a bipartisan firm like Fed Hall, which has quickly become a go-to advisor to financial market participants who are looking to build strong bridges with policymakers,” concluded Ms. Arias. “I look forward to helping our clients navigate today’s evolving congressional and regulatory landscape through thoughtful and targeted advocacy.”
Ms. Arias holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
Fed Hall has been expanding the breadth of its diversified, bipartisan counsel, and Ms. Arias marks the latest addition to its senior leadership team. In October 2020, Fed Hall expanded its partnership ranks with the addition of Len Wolfson, who recently served as Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Acting Commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration.
