General Dynamics Information Technology Director of Real Estate recognized with Corporate Real Estate Executive Award

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CoreNet Global, the premier association for corporate real estate, has announced the winners of its annual Awards of Excellence. The 2016 CoreNet Global Mid-Atlantic Corporate Real Estate Executive Award went to Deane Edelman, Director of Real Estate with General Dynamics Information Technology, one of the Chapter's most prominent advocates of the value of CoreNet membership.

“A two-time Chapter President, Deane has delivered significant accomplishments throughout his career in leadership positions in Corporate Real Estate and within CoreNet circles,” said Al Nielsen, President of the CoreNet Mid-Atlantic Chapter. “Deane has served as Mid-Atlantic Gala Co-Chair, Membership Chair, and Community Reinvestment Chair through the years, and was instrumental in bringing the CoreNet Global Summit to Washington, DC in 2014.”

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CoreNet Global 12th Annual Awards of Excellence Gala was hosted by Boston Properties.Awards of Excellence were also given to:

• Corporate Real Estate Young Leadership – Charles Spencer, Engility: This award recognizes an end user under the age of 35 who exemplifies excellence and promise in corporate real estate.
• Best Service Provider – Susan Liberty, McGuireWoods Consulting: This is a career award for an outstanding individual whose performance and interactions with clients provide a uniquely valued experience.
• Corporate Real Estate Partnership – Newmark and Promontory Interfinancial Network: This is a team award for corporate real estate and the service providers who partner to deliver extraordinary results as a result of collaboration.
• Best New Workplace – Capital One and Gensler:This recognizes a corporate workplace strategy that had to have been completed in 2015 in the Mid-Atlantic area that exudes innovation and purposeful design.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CoreNet Global is focused on advancing real estate knowledge, connecting people and promoting personal excellence through programs focused on the needs of local members.
