DCS Corp. Names Jim Benbow CEO

DCS Corporation today announced the appointment of Jim Benbow as Chief Executive Officer. It was further announced that Chief Operating Officer Randy Washington will assume the additional role of company President. Retiring Chief Executive Officer and President Jim Wood will transition to non-Executive Chairman of the DCS Board. These appointments are effective immediately and complete a rigorous succession planning process orchestrated by the DCS Board of Directors over the last three years.

Jim Benbow brings over 30 years of engineering and management experience in the Government services sector to the position of CEO. His 17 years with DCS includes the 12 years in his most recent role as DCS Chief Business Development Officer. In his new role, Mr. Benbow's primary focus will be shaping and executing the company's growth strategy, nurturing its employee ownership culture and enhancing the effectiveness of business support systems and functions.

"Over the course of his career and as valued member of senior executive teams, Jim has demonstrated an exceptional working knowledge of the Federal technology services sector and a proven ability to tailor structures and processes to deliver growth on a predictable and repeatable basis," said Board Chairman Jim Wood. "He has motivated staff in all phases of the new business life cycle, developed creative growth strategies to leverage the dynamics of the marketplace and put in place a business development infrastructure that has enabled DCS's growth. We look forward to his contributions as CEO."

Mr. Benbow brings additional business development experience with Titan Corporation and Horizons Technology, Inc. and holds a degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Randy Washington leads the company's operating units ensuring alignment to, and delivering against, customer requirements and ensuring the DCS work environment creates commitment, motivation and employee engagement. Since joining DCS in 1987, Mr. Washington has held progressively responsible engineering, line management and executive leadership positions to include serving as Program Manager for large contracts with the Army and Navy. Before joining DCS, Mr. Washington worked as an engineer at Texas Instruments for 10 years, designing software and hardware for ground vehicle electronics systems. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.
