Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Inc. (JA), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people to succeed in a rapidly changing economy, announced the addition of Steve Braun to its board of directors.

Braun is currently the Chief Executive Officer of MRI Search Consultants, a Maryland area staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in healthcare, pharmaceutical, sports, nonprofit and retail industries. He has been CEO of the agency for over 36 years.

“I am honored and excited to be serving on the board of Junior Achievement,” said Braun. “JA offers students a critical look into their future, allowing them to better understand career paths for lifelong happiness and fulfillment, as well as realizing the importance of managing their lives financially. To help enable such a mission benefits not only the students, it benefits our entire community.”

Braun is also heavily involved within the community. Since 2000, Braun has worked extensively with the Maryland Recruiter’s Association to develop professionalism and promote ethical standards of business practice for the professional executive recruitment field throughout Maryland. Braun serves as President for the non-profit. He also sits on the Loyola University of Alumni board serving as Vice President and Committee Chair since 2012.

Braun earned an M.B.A. in business management and marketing from Loyola University of Baltimore, Md.
