Cushman & Wakefield also Represents ASHP in Headquarters Relocation
Cushman & Wakefield today announced that it represented the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in the $105.5 million sale of the Apex Building in Bethesda, MD, to Carr Properties. Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield represented ASHP in its headquarters relocation.
Bill Collins, Paul Collins, Drew Flood and Shaun Weinberg represented ASHP in the sale of 7272 Wisconsin Avenue, while Laurie McMahon and Stephanie Heffernan represented them in a headquarters relocation to 4500 East West Highway in Bethesda.
The Apex Building, a 162,614 square foot, Class-A office building, currently 100% leased, is located on a two-acre site in the heart of Downtown Bethesda with numerous area amenities including high-end shopping, restaurants, hotels, theatres, art galleries, parks and bike trails. It is just three blocks from the Bethesda Metro station (Red Line and future Purple Line), with direct access to Washington, DC, North Bethesda, Rockville, Friendship Heights and Gaithersburg. The building also offers access to I-495 and I-270, just off of Wisconsin Avenue.
“We are thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic move for ASHP,” said Paul Collins. “We feel that the sale and relocation allows them the opportunity to create a modern and efficient work space with a full complement of amenities and the added benefit of not having to live through the Purple Line construction over the next several years. In return, Carr gets the best development site in Bethesda.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s representation of ASHP in its headquarters relocation included a long-term 67,744 square foot lease on the top three floors of 4500 East West Highway. The 228,044 square foot, nine-story LEED Platinum certified trophy office building was developed and is owned by an affiliate of Carr Properties.
