Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the completion of four lease transactions totaling 36,953 square feet of commercial space. All of the leases were handled through the Virginia Beach office of Divaris Real Estate.
Ross Dress for Less Inc. renewed its lease for 30,187 square feet of retail space in Williamsburg Marketcenter located at 6610 Mooretown Road in Williamsburg, Va. Ross Dress for Less is a Dublin, California-based chain of deeply discounted department stores, and the second largest off-price retailer in the U.S. Gerald Divaris handled the lease on behalf of the landlord, American General Life Insurance Company. As tenant representatives, Divaris has handled in over eight transactions throughout Virginia on behalf of Ross Stores.
Visionworks leased 2,560 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Marketplace at Tech Center located at 12080 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, VA. Visionworks is a leading provider of eye care services with more than 700 optical retail stores in 42 states, offering famous fashion brands and its exclusive brand frames, lenses, sunglasses and accessories along with leading technology in vision correction. Marketplace at Tech Center is the retail component of Tech Center at Oyster Point, a mixed-use development on 100 acres in the heart of Newport News that features 230,000 square feet of retail, 290 luxury apartment homes, 30,000 square feet of new specialty office space. Additional retailers in the center include: Whole Foods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Stein Mart, ULTA Beauty, Carters, OshKosh, Zoe’s Kitchen, Café Rio, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and BJ’s Brewhouse. DRE’s Rorrer and Mary McGovern represented the landlord, The Marketplace at Tech Center, LLC, in the lease negotiations.
OneMain Financial Group leased 2,400 square feet of retail space in Williamsburg Marketcenter. Since 1912, OneMain Financial has been helping people realize their financial goals and dreams. As of last year, OneMain has over 1,800 branches in 43 states and 2.4 million customers. Missy Martinovich worked on behalf of the landlord, American General Life Insurance Company, in the lease negotiations.
bevello leased 1,806 square feet of retail space on the first floor of the Divairs-leased and -managed One Columbus Center office building at the corner of Town Center and Main Street in the Town Center of Virginia Beach. bevello is a contemporary and fashion forward company for women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and gifts with 34 locations across the U.S. The boutique is relocating from The Cosmopolitan Block 10 in The Town Center to across the street from Anthropologie, Destination Maternity and lululemon athletica. Gerald Divaris, Erica Rorrer, and Sezin Cortinas handled the lease on behalf of the landlord, Columbus Tower, LLC. Other retailers in Town Center of Virginia Beach include: West Elm, Free People, Brooks Brothers, Monkee’s, LOFT and Paper Source.
