Global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International (NASDAQ:CIGI, TSX:CIG) today announced that Elizabeth Demaree has joined the firm as Associate specializing in tenant representation. She will be working with Fern Barrueta and Robert Bryan, whose client roster includes charter schools and nonprofits.

“Lizzy brings to Colliers all of the attributes we are looking for. Our strategy is to recruit bright, collaborative brokers who will broaden our business platform and serve our client,” said David Parker, Regional Managing Director for Colliers International in Washington, DC.

Demaree comes to Colliers from Demaree & Associates is a 50-year-old company specializing in urban retail. Throughout her career, Lizzy has worked with a variety of developers and nonprofits both in landlord and tenant representation. For the past two years, Lizzy has been working with various landlords and developers specializing in affordable and low-income housing development projects in Southeast, Washington, DC. Her skills set includes, management of daily operations, tenant relations and commercial lease execution, strategic partnerships and development of current and the acquisition of new community based low-income housing projects. Prior to that she also served as Executive Director of Upcounty Community Resources, a nonprofit she started to serve adults with developmental disabilities. Earlier in her career she worked with a number of nonprofit organizations focused on educational opportunities such as The Center for Education Reform, Potomac Community Resources, Haughton Mifflin, and the Law firm of Michael Eig and Associates.

As a native Washingtonian, from a long line of real estate professionals, I have developed a deep knowledge of the communities we serve and I have been exposed to various aspects of the real estate industry. She is a graduate of the University of Limerick in Ireland and holds a Masters Degree from American University.
