APAH To Honor Tim Naughton And Dave Leibson At October 6th Affordable Housing Celebration

9/27/16

The Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) will celebrate affordable housing at the APAH Annual Celebration of Affordable Housing on October 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at The Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, VA. The event invites Arlington businesses, community leaders and residents to celebrate the importance of affordable housing in keeping Arlington diverse and inclusive and will honor two community leaders for their roles in affordable housing.

Timothy J. Naughton is CEO of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Headquartered in Arlington, VA, this real estate investment and management company has a presence in most of the major metropolitan markets on the east and west coasts. “His philanthropic history, commitment to the Arlington community, and his leadership in real estate made Tim Naughton a natural choice to honor,” said APA President/CEO Nina Janopaul. “We’re proud of our partnership with AvalonBay Communities.”

David C. Leibson has been managing and supporting affordable housing programs in the United States and abroad for more than 45 years. In Arlington, Leibson’s been involved in affordable housing through the Working Group for the Columbia Pike Land Use and Housing Plan, the working Group for the County’s recently adopted Affordable Housing Master Plan, and was a member of the County Housing Commission. “Leibson currently serves as the co-chair of Arlington County’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness and is Vice President of the Alliance for Hosing Solutions. Dave brings devotion and leadership to affordable housing; APAH is proud to be honoring him,” said Janopaul.

John Milliken, APAH Board Chair, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
