Company’s first acquisition provides foundation to expand brand in Mid-Atlantic region

Community Closing Network, LLC (CCN), a full service title and settlement services provider, announced its first title agency acquisition with its purchase of Continental Title Group, a regional agency headquartered in Baltimore, MD. The agency operates seven offices throughout the Maryland and Delaware region, providing title and settlement services with its professional staff of fifty-five employees. Continental Title Group also provides settlement services in the Eastern Shore of Maryland and throughout Delaware doing business as Real Estate Title and Escrow. The company will continue to trade under both names.

“This is a significant move for our company as it launches our acquisition platform with the purchase of a highly-recognizable organization with excellent market share in the local marketplace,” stated Michael C. Ridgway, President of CCN. “Continental’s network in Maryland and Delaware provides a solid foundation to grow our footprint throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. There exists tremendous synergies between the two companies as we merge this group into the CCN family of companies and create among the most successful and fastest growing title agencies in the region. Together, we are looking to continue our momentum and bring innovation into this regional market.”

The acquired agency was founded in 2007 by principals William Yerman and Peter Burstein. Since its formation and based on its focus on customer service, the agency has grown to become one of Maryland’s leading title agencies.

“We have been successful over the years by focusing on customer service,” explained William Yerman, who will remain as CEO and focus on growth of the agency.“We are looking forward to becoming part of a larger organization which can help us leverage the compliance and technology investments required in the title industry not only today but looking to the future. This implementation and focus on technology will only improve customer service and help us grow more effectively. We are looking forward to continuing at higher levels what we started years ago when we created our company.”

Yerman’s partner, Peter Burstein, will serve as President and Chief Operating Officer of the agency.

“The strength of their agency lies with their people and their dedication to their customers.” Ridgway added. “By integrating improved technologies and workflow, together we will position ourselves to be industry leaders in customer service. We have also created an innovative platform for smaller agents who want to join us, so they focus on sales and customer service while we handle the backend of the business.”
