Popular bakery and café will occupy 1,400 SF of retail space in the new luxury residential tower
30 Dalton, a new 218- unit luxury apartment tower in Boston’s Back Bay, announced today that popular bakery and café, Flour Bakery, will open its sixth location in the property’s first floor retail space. With the lease, 30 Dalton’s retail space will be fully occupied. The lease was brokered by The Dartmouth Company, a Boston-based commercial real estate brokerage specializing in tenant and landlord representation.
Construction fit-outs of the 1,400 square-foot space will begin in January 2017 with an anticipated opening in early spring. The location will feature spacious indoor seating for up to 20 people, along with an attractive exterior patio space for use in the summer months.
“We look forward to welcoming the Back Bay’s second Flour Bakery to 30 Dalton and introducing our residents to such an acclaimed brand,” said Alissa Kekeisen, General Manager at 30 Dalton. “With a highly-visible storefront location, coupled with easy accessibility via public transportation and ample foot traffic from iconic destinations like the nearby Christian Science Center, Copley Square, and Prudential Center, we are confident that Flour Bakery will thrive in our local community and provide a welcome dining option for the neighborhood.”
30 Dalton is a new luxury apartment building offering a refined living experience nestled within Boston’s historic Back Bay. With a varied selection of layouts, including two Premier Penthouse units, a unique suite of on-site amenities, and a diverse community of residents, the property appeals to a wide variety of renters looking for a modern home and full-service lifestyle in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Boston.
Owned and operated by James Beard-winning Pastry Chef, Joanne Chang, Flour Bakery was established in the South End in 2000, offering breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, sandwiches, soups, and salads. In 2007, the bakery expanded for the first time, opening a new location in the growing Fort Point neighborhood. Recently, Flour Bakery has expanded its retail operation to include four additional storefronts around greater Boston, including Cambridgeport, Central Square, Back Bay, and Harvard Square.
“The Back Bay is a thriving neighborhood that I've lived and worked in off and on for the last 25 years,” said Chang. “I'm extremely excited to open our 7th bakery and 2nd Back Bay location at 30 Dalton. We can't wait to share our award-winning pastries, sandwiches, and specials with this part of the neighborhood in a spectacular new space.”
