Bruce Thompson, Cavalier hotel project developer, is ready to submit its site plan, specifically for the Oceanfront portion of the historic hotel’s redesign.
That’s why he asked the city to look at improving access to it, reducing traffic congestion and its impact at the Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue intersection.
Virginia Beach city council responded to plans to potentially redesign Atlantic Avenue at its meeting Tuesday. City Manager Dave Hansen presented the proposal, which could cost the city up to $2.5 million.
