Sunshine Mathon will the next chief executive officer of the Piedmont Housing Alliance, according to its board of directors.
Mathon begins his position in August, replacing Frank Grosch, who left in February, and taking the reins from acting CEO Karen Reifenberger.
For the past 10 years, he served as the director of real estate development for Foundation Communities in Austin, Texas. According to a news release, Foundation Communities owns and manages more than 3,000 homes and apartments and also provides financial literacy education, afterschool programs and case management for homeless families. Mathon was chairman of the Austin Housing Coalition and also served on Austin’s Downtown Commission.
