Plans for a business class hotel in the town of Bedford are moving forward. The town and the developer announced Friday the hotel will be built in the Harmony commercial development park on U.S. 460.
The town’s Economic Development Authority and Dogwood Development Company Inc. said they will work exclusively and “in good faith” to pursue the development and construction of a hotel within the town, according to a news release sent by Lyons Team Realtors.
James Oliver, president of Dogwood, said construction should start in spring 2018, with the hotel opening at the end of summer 2019. It will have 70 to 90 rooms.
