Charlottesville-based Three Notch’d Brewing Co. plans to open a downtown Roanoke location next year.
The company said this week that it will launch a brewery and restaurant at 24 Campbell Ave. S.E., where Cornerstone Bar & Grill is currently located. Cornerstone, which has operated at that location for more than 15 years, is expected to remain open through the holidays and close after the end of the year when its lease is up, according to property owner Neal Keesee and Three Notch’d officials. It is unclear what future plans are for Cornerstone; its owner did not return phone calls Monday afternoon.
The new brewery and restaurant will be similar to the Three Notch’d Craft Kitchen and Brewery location in Charlottesville, which has a full kitchen and an ABC license. It serves locally sourced food and craft cocktails as well as the company’s brews.
